Dr Rifat Chaudry is a UK-trained Specialist in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine (PRSM) with over 20 years of experience across leading tertiary and quaternary centres in the UK and Australia. Prior to moving to Sydney in 2015, she was a Consultant at The Royal London Hospital, managing both acute paediatrics and outpatient care.
She completed her MD at Imperial College London, with research in cardiopulmonary function in children with sickle cell disease, and has published in leading journals and presented internationally. Her specialist training includes Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Royal Brompton Hospital.
Dr Chaudry is currently a Staff Specialist at John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle. She is known for her holistic, family-centred approach to care, supporting children with a wide range of respiratory and sleep conditions.
Special Interests: Childhood asthma, chronic cough, bronchiolitis, noisy breathing, cystic fibrosis, allergic rhinitis, and sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnoea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.
