Specialist Cardiac Nurse

Kellie is a Specialist Cardiac Nurse with almost 40 years of experience in cardiovascular nursing and more than 35 years specialising in cardiac rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping people understand their cardiovascular risk, build confidence in managing their health, and make sustainable lifestyle changes that reduce their risk of future cardiovascular events.

At Wise Specialist Hub, Kellie leads the Cardiac Risk Factor Self-Management Service, providing personalised, evidence-based care for adults living with, or at risk of, cardiovascular disease. She believes that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools in preventing heart disease. Through comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment, education, collaborative goal setting and ongoing support, she partners with patients to help them take control of modifiable risk factors, improve their heart health and achieve lasting lifestyle change.

Kellie holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing), a Cardiology Certificate, and is internationally certified in Cardiac Rehabilitation Foundations through the International Council of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation.

Throughout her career, Kellie has been actively involved in cardiovascular leadership, research and education. She is a member of the Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association and the Australasian Cardiovascular Nursing College and has received multiple professional awards recognising her contribution to excellence in cardiovascular nursing, cardiac rehabilitation and cardiovascular disease prevention.
