As an undergraduate student, Reece was involved in the sports coverage of Rugby Union (Manly Marlins Rugby Union) and AFL (Manly Giants) teams on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree from Australian Catholic University and completed his Master of Physiotherapy at Sydney University in 2015.

In 2016, Reece was accepted into the Royal North Shore Hospital’s New Graduate Allocation Program, where he gained invaluable experience in a variety of areas. This program allowed him to gather extensive knowledge from senior physiotherapists and work closely with orthopaedic surgeons. Reece developed a special interest in Hand Therapy after spending nine months in the specialised Hand Therapy Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital. Additionally, he enjoys treating knee and neck injuries, informed by his personal experience with two ACL reconstructions.

Since leaving RNSH, Reece has been working in a musculoskeletal practice on the Northern Beaches. In 2022, he completed a qualification in managing scoliosis through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School. This certification enables him to assess and treat scoliosis in children and adults, aiming to improve their quality of life, prevent curve progression, and avoid surgery. In the same year, Reece completed his Physio Bike Fit course under the guidance of Paul Visentini, who has previously worked with Cycling Australia and professional cycling teams such as Lotto.

In 2024, Reece was awarded the Title of APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and became a member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (MACP).
